International Education

Administrative Offices for International Students

THE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AND SCHOLARS (Student Affairs) services international students and scholars from more than 90 countries. In this capacity, they also sponsor international student organizations. There are presently 1,264 international students studying at West Virginia University representing 84 countries.

INTERNATIONAL ADMISSIONS (Admissions and Records ) processes international student applications and participates in international student recruitment.

THE INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE, School of Physical Education, promotes global awareness of sports and health-related physical activity through research grants and academic activity with institutions in Australia, China, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Qatar, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and Venezuela. The ICPE has already hosted more than 30 students from 9 countries.

THE INTERNATIONAL HEALTH PROGRAM of the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center , fosters learning, collaboration, and service by providing research and hands-on opportunities for 30 faculty and students in international health settings annually. This is achieved through partnerships with institutions in China, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Uganda, and Barbuda.
