West Virginia University Dining Services’ Healthy “U” program won gold in the prestigious Loyal E. Horton award, competing against such schools as University of Massachusetts, University of California, Berkeley and the University of Georgia among others. The program helps educate students about nutrition, develops special recipes and offers individual and group counseling by our staff dietitian.
Nettie Freshour, staff dietitian, has presented a program about Healthy “U” at the annual NACUFS (National Association of College and University Food Services) conference and at the Tastes of the World Chef Culinary Conference.
