Making local governments more responsive and better able to meet the needs of citizens is the goal of the Local Government Technical Assistance program. This program offers training and education to counties, cities, towns, extension units, civic groups and community organizations.
Technical assistance is provided in fiscal matters (budgeting, financial management, bond issues, levy elections); and operations management (personnel classification systems, program evaluation, benchmarking).
