Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) - School of Journalism

The Integrated Marketing Communications program offered by the P.I. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University is the first IMC graduate program in the country offered exclusively online. The program provides students worldwide the opportunity to earn a graduate degree in IMC -- a strategic process used to plan, create, execute and measure consistent and persuasive communications with important internal and external publics over time.

The IMC master's degree track includes 39 credit hours, which are earned through a total of 13 courses in a variety of areas from consumer behavior to research methods to brand management. In addition to 36 hours of required core courses, students are allowed to choose one elective in advanced creative strategies, direct marketing, or public relations.
