Kinjo Gakuin University - West Virginia University Kinjo Gakuin University, an all women's university in Nagoya, Japan, first began sending exchange students to WVU in the summer of 1999. The first two participants were Yumiko Tashiro and Makiko Ota. Ms. Tashiro has now returned to WVU to pursue her master's degree in TESOL. She is also the current GTA in the Japanese language department.
