West Virginia University College of Law

With its collection of over 300,000 volumes and volume-equivalents, the George R. Farmer, Jr. Law Library is the largest public law library in the state. The Library maintains a core collection of federal and regional reporters, all federal and state codes, various periodical subscriptions, and several online databases.

The primary function of the Law Library is to support the teaching, research, and public service responsibilities of the College of Law. The Library also provides access to legal information to faculty, staff, and students of the University, to members of the bench and practicing bar, and to the general public. The goal of the Library staff is to provide the best possible service to those individuals using the Library. We encourage you to ask for assistance or information in order to help us achieve that goal, and ask that you kindly make suggestions which will assist us in improving our services or collection.
