Help Us Grow
Dear Friends of the Motor Development Center,
We need your help to expand our vision for promoting healthy,
active lifestyles. We would like to grow and expand in the
following ways:
- add more classes to our schedule
- initiate a summer camp for Choosy Kids
- upgrade our current facilities
- relocate into dedicated space
- purchase new equipment
- establish a Summer Institute for training teachers and
recreation leaders from schools, agencies, and organizations
In order to grow into any of the projects mentioned above,
the WV Motor Development Center needs the generous support
of individuals, businesses, and politicians who value our
motto… “Developing Children by Choice, not by
Chance.” We know that you agree that the health of our
children should not be left to chance. Instead, children should
be encouraged to make healthy decisions about physical activity,
nutrition, and remaining drug and tobacco free. Our mission
is based on the following premises:
- Children need to be more active to reduce the risks of
heart disease and obesity
- We need to encourage increased activity at an early age
- The activities need to be fun and pleasant
- It should be encouraged and modeled by the family
- Children are empowered by choice
When you make a generous, tax-deductible contribution to
support the WV Motor Development Center, your gift will help
us to achieve our expansion goals. For your support of the
Center, we would like to thank you by providing
you with a gift. When you make a donation, the
difference between the market price of the gift and your donation
will be tax deductible. The WVU Foundation will send you a
receipt for your tax-deductible donation to the WV Motor Development
Center.
When you meet or exceed the minimum donation value listed
in our fund
raising flyer, you are eligible to receive the
associated gift. Please consider exceeding the minimum donation
value. Print the gift
information form, provide the information requested
including your choice of size, color, and logo, where applicable,
and mail to:
