The Program Coordinator AP will provide day-to-day oversight of a multi-year research and service grant designed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Public Employees Insurance Agency's (PEIA) Weight Management Program. There are approximately 40 sites across WV offering this insurance-sponsored benefit program to overweight and obese adults. The duties associated with this position include survey development, data collection, data entry, travel to sites, conducting interviews and focus groups, report writing, and supervising graduate assistants. In addition to these evaluation duties, the Program Coordinator will collaborate with the Principal Investigator on developing new insurance benefits, presenting at conferences, and writing manuscripts for research journals.

Computer skills and experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis programs are desired. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, excellent writing and editing skills, strong organizational skills, knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis, and grant writing experience. Preference will be given to candidates with previous training and work experience in weight management program evaluation or exercise psychology research. Preference will also be given to candidates with previous experience in individual and group behavioral counseling.

This is a full-time position for a research project located in Morgantown, WV and is based on an annual salary range of $35,000 to $43,000. The position will be housed within the Department of Sport Sciences in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences. The position is currently funded for one year, with up to two additional years of funding pending successful performance of evaluation duties as determined by the granting agency (PEIA). The position requires extensive travel within WV.
