On-Campus Master of Science Degree in Sport Management

Admission Requirements

Admission requirements to the On-Campus Sport Management Master's Degree Program must include the following: 

Bachelor's degree 
Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75 

In addition, the application must be accompanied by a current resume, three letters of recommendation, and a two- page autobiography, which should include information concerning background and experience, involvement in sports and related associations, and professional career interests in the sport management field. 

As a final phase in the selection process, applicants meeting the admissions standards and providing a complete application by the deadline will be invited for personal interviews. The final selection of students will be based on the applicant's overall qualification including relevant experience and personal presentation during the interviews. The interviewing committee attempts to select candidates who will make a significant contribution to the field of sport management. 

Prospective students may apply online to WVU on the Admissions & Records web site. All application material must be submitted to the WVU Office of Admissions and Records in time to be processed and received in our office by January 15. Students living in the US or Canada need to submit their application materials at least one month in advance of the deadline and international students should submit their application materials three to four months in advance to meet the deadline.  A complete application consists of: 

An official undergraduate transcript                 
Completed graduate application form 
Test scores (not required)
Two-page autobiography                         
Three letters of recommendation 
Current résumé
