Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology

Degree Requirements

The student enrolled in the major with an emphasis in sport and exercise psychology must, at a minimum, complete 128 credit hours, and complete all course requirements specified in the major (i.e., theory and foundation and second field requirements) with a grade of "C" or higher. Students complete a total of 42 credit hours within the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, including courses in sport and exercise psychology, sport sociology, motor development, sport management, exercise physiology and kinesiology, coaching, and athletic training. In addition, students complete 15 credit hours in psychology and 6-9 credit hours in sociology. A practicum in sport psychology or sport sociology is available to students who have at least junior standing and who, at a minimum, have an overall grade point average of 3.0.
