Professional Profile
When I'm not slaving away on academic pursuits, I prefer to roam the planet with my friends and family. I can usually be found with my beautiful wife Elizabeth and baby daughter Adelina engaging in physical activities including swimming, basketball, racquetball, rollerblading and raftball (well Addy doesn't play all of these yet!). When we are not traveling, I prefer to play guitar for my two favorite ladies and spend some quality time outdoors with our smiling puppy Lucy.
When I am working, I teach courses in sport and exercise psychology, statistics, and research methods. I am happy to report that I recently moved into an office with a window. My primary research interests include lifetime physical activity and applied sport psychology. On the applied side, I supervise graduate students, work with WVU athletes on performance enhancement and I'm a Certified Consultant (AASP) and member of the US Olympic Committee's Sport Psychology Registry. I also coordinate our exercise adherence and weight loss programs run through the university for community members.
