Disability Services Staff

Dr. Richard Strasburger, Ed.D., NCC
Dr. Strasburger has a doctorate in learning disabilities. He is a certified teacher of English and Reading and is a licensed counselor. He has experience in the areas of genetics and child development and has been a disability counselor for eight years.

Rebecca Berger, M.S., CRC
Rebecca is a Morgantown native and long-time WVU fan. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Fairmont State College and her Master's of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from West Virginia University. Rebecca is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She began working in the Office of Disability Services in August of 2002 and now also serves as the coordinator of American Sign Language Interpreters on the Morgantown WVU campus.

Briana Spiker, MSW, LCSW
Briana is a native West Virginian. She received her education from WVU and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Masters of Social Work. She is a licensed certified social worker in the State of West Virginia.

Jill Hess , MA, NCC
Jill received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Fairmont State College and her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from West Virginia University. Jill is a National Certified Counselor. Before coming to the Office of Disability Services, she worked as an ADA consultant and a community mental health/chemical dependancy therapist. Jill serves as a Disability Counselor for the campus of WVU Tech, as well as WVU's main campus.

Catherine George
Cathy has worked in the Office of Disability Services for fourteen years and previously in Housing and Residence Life for ten years. Cathy is a life-long Morgantown resident and enjoys walking the Monongalia County Rails to Trails.
