2001 - 2002 Season
subUrbia
by Eric Bogosian
They drink beer, get high, and eat Oreos. They believe their young twenty-something lives will never change as they
hang out, day after day, at the local convenience store. They couldn't believe what happened one night at their
neighborhood hang-out, and neither will you. This ambitious contemporary play has a brave, unexpected twist that
will leave you speechless. A not to be missed and definitely not for the faint-of-heart. Rated "R" for
language.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses
by Christopher Hampton
This is the story of the seduction of the young and willing Cecile, and the demure, yet passionate, Madame De Tourvel,
by the cynical pleasure-seeker Le Vicomte De Valmont. Le Vicomte De Valmont's seductive enterprises are encouraged by his
former mistress, a lady of ulterior motives. Sound familiar? If you have seen the movie, then you know the story. Now
witness this eighteenth century dance of seduction, live on stage. Experience the power and passion of a play for all
times.

adapted by Jay Malarcher from the screenplay by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, and Frank Capra
George Bailey is at a crisis point in his life—standing on a bridge ready to jump. With the help of a guardian
angel, he gets a rare insight into what the world would be like if he had never been born. This beloved holiday classic
celebrating community, family, and the difference one person can make comes to the stage in what we hope will become a
Morgantown holiday tradition. Bring the whole family to see this delightful evening of theatre.

The Idiots Karamazov
by Christopher Durang and Albert Innauarato
Basically a parody of the worst excesses of Russian literature, this farce makes (non)sense of authors like Dostoyevsky,
Tolstoy, and Chekhov. Think Monty Python meets the classics. And Monty Python wins. Its the closest thing we could find
to the anarchic zaniness that characterized the Marx Brothers of Animal Crackers fame.
