Daniel Schley Wilson
Visiting Assistant Professor and Technical Director
Daniel Wilson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Dramatic Arts from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1993 and his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Scene Design from West Virginia University in 1997.
Since then, Dan has served as an adjunct faculty member at Point Park University, as well as the University of Arizona. At these institutions he served as Technical Director for more than 125 theater and dance productions, and Technical Director for the ACTF National Showcase winner “Grand Hotel,” which was presented at the Kennedy Center.
His professional credits include Technical Director for the West Virginia Public Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse, “Tecumseh!,” Arizona Repertory Theatre, Greenbelt Arts Center, Lexington Children’s Theatre, Muses Rage Production and Old Tucson Studios.
He has also served as a Technical Designer and Technical Consultant for many organizations, including: Radio City, for the Super Bowl XXXII halftime show “Salute To Motown’s 40th Anniversary”; Pittsburgh Irish and Classical Theatre Company; Morgantown Theatre Company, and Pittsburgh Musical Theatre.
Daniel has also designed shows for various companies within the Pittsburgh and Washington D.C. areas. These include such productions as “Dames At Sea,” “My Favorite Year,” “Floyd Collins,” “The Little Prince,” “The Jazz Nutcracker,” and many others.
