Ohio State University Winsor is an accomplished arts administrator with a record of more than twenty years of successful leadership in higher education and excellence in teaching research/creative activity, and service. Skilled in management, budgeting, and creative planning as they relate to academic and cultural programming, Winsor has held academic positions at Coe College, University of South Florida, Ohio State University, University of Pittsburgh, DeSales University, and Miami University.
With an MFA in Scenography from the Ohio State University, and a BA in Theatre from Wilmington College, Winsor joined the faculty of West Virginia University and the Division of Theatre and Dance in 1989. He first served as a teacher of stage design and technology until his appointment as Chair of the Division in 1995.
In 2001, he was appointed to the position of Associate Dean of the College of Creative Arts at WVU where he now assists Dean Bernard Schultz in fostering an intellectual, creative, and student-centered environment.
Winsor has also worked as a minority arts consultant and as a professional freelance scenic designer, painter, and props artisan for the stage. He is a member of the United Scenic Arts of America-829, and he has designed more than one hundred productions for academic, non-profit, and commercial producing agencies in local, regional, and international venues.
