Debit Plans
Mountie Bounty, is a great way to secure your food allowance and take advantage of other campus services.
This convenient debit plan allows you to place dollar amounts on your Mountaineer Card for later use. This service offers security for the card-bearer and the ability to add value to the card at any time at WVU or from home. There are no set-up fees and no minimum balances are required. When the card is swiped through a reader, like those used for credit cards, the account number on the card's magnetic strip is read and the purchase amount is deducted from the balance in your prepaid account. This service allows you to use your funds only for the purposes you choose. Balances are carried forward each semester.
MOUNTIE BOUNTY
Mountie Bounty allows you to place money in an account to be used at various locations across campus. Mountie Bounty may be used at all WVU Dining Facilities (WVU dining halls, Hatfields, McCoys, the Lyon's Den, Bits & Bites, Sports Café, Burger King, Waterfront Café, Freshens, Brew & Gold, Eliza's) as well as other locations. In addition to the WVU dining facilities, Mountie Bounty is currently accepted at Javas and Cream, Dong's Express, the WVU Copy Centers, Stadium Concessions at Mountaineer Field, Blue Gate Cafe, WVU Bookstores, and in select vending machines and copiers. It is also accepted for printing at the computer labs, for printing at the WVU Libraries, at the WVU Technology Support Centers, at the WVU Parking Office for fees and fines, residence hall laundry readers, at Sbarros and University Health Services, with expanded locations to accept Mountie Bounty in the future. Mountie Bounty is flexible. These funds carry over from semester to semester.
Your account will be activated when you mail or make a deposit at the Office of Student Accounts in Stewart Hall or at the SABO Cashier's Office in Bennett Tower. You may call to add funds to your card with VISA, MasterCard or Discover. You may call the Office of Student Accounts at 304-293-4006 or Student Affairs Accounts Receivable at 304-293-3621. You may also add Mountie Bounty to your card with cash at 13 CSVTs (Add-Value Stations). The Add-Value Stations are located at the Mountainlair, White Hall Computer Lab, Wise Library, Evansdale Library, HSC Library, Law Library and most of the residence halls.
A minimum of $25 is required for deposit to your Mountie Bounty account.
Refunds will only be made at the time of graduation, withdrawal from WVU or termination of WVU employment. Note: If there is a balance due on the student account, any refund will go to offset the balance due. There may be a processing fee on refunds issued.
