Education That Gives Back
By incorporating real-world opportunities in her English classes, Dr. Catherine Gouge motivates students to become better writers and editors. An extensive service-learning component in her technical writing class challenges students to write grant proposals and manage projects for local nonprofits. Dr. Gouge is one of six 2009 WVU Foundation Outstanding Teachers.
