BUILDING AND ROOM NUMBERING POLICY
PURPOSE
West Virginia University utilizes a procedure to identify all facilities and rooms owned by the University. It is the responsibility of Physical Plant Planning Design and Construction to establish all room and building numbers.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all new construction and alteration projects performed or contracted by the Physical Plant.
POLICY
Buildings and rooms should be numbered or renumbered as necessary, in regard to new construction or alterations of existing facilities, in compliance with the procedures established by Physical Plant Planning, Design and Construction. This procedure should be implemented during the schematic design phase. No project will be considered complete until room numbering is in compliance with Physical Plant Planning, Design and Construction
PROCEDURE
Procedure development rests with Physical Plant Planning, Design and Construction.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with Physical Plant Planning, Design and Construction. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION
The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
