To facilitate prompt response to requests for building engineering evaluations for facilities maintained or under the scope of responsibility of Physical Plant.

This policy applies to all University faculty, staff, and students who work in WVU facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.

Physical Plant Project, Design and Engineering division can provide engineering evaluations regarding WVU building structures. Requests for this are made via a written request signed and authorized by a Dean or Director.

Questions about possible changes and scope of services may be directed to the Physical Plant Help Desk at 293-4357.

Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant.

The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Resource Management/Project, Design and Construction sections of Physical Plant and WVU Deans/Directors/Chairpersons. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.

The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
