PHYSICAL PLANT PEST CONTROL POLICY
PURPOSE
To keep University facilities reasonably free of pests while ensuring that pesticides are used according to all applicable safety guidelines.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all University facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.
POLICY
Physical Plant provides pest control services on a regular basis to University facilities. These services are provided utilizing off hour scheduling so as not to interfere with normal operations of individual departments. All services provided are coordinated with WVU Building Supervisors and follow established safety precautions as identified by WVU Department of Environmental Health and Safety and applicable University, State, and Federal guidelines. Questions requesting pest control services may be directed to the Physical Plant Help Desk at 293-4357.
PROCEDURE
Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Resource Management section of the Physical Plant and the Campus Support Services section of the Physical Plant. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION
The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
