RECYCLING PROGRAM POLICY
PURPOSE
To collect and recycle as much material as possible to recover costs and lessen impact on the environment.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all University faculty, staff, and students who work in WVU facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.
POLICY
Blue recyclable containers have been placed in various locations throughout the campus buildings. The acceptable recycling items are:

| Blueprints | Post-It Noes | Telephone Books |

| Manila-Kraft Folders | Letterhead | Junk Mail |
| Colored Paper | W. L. Paper (Memio Ink) | Checks |
| Green Bar CPO | Wide White CPO | Card Stock |
| Cardboard | Magazine-Catalogs | Blue Bar CPO |
Paper products placed into containers for recycling may not be contaminated by food or other liquid items. Contact for proper disposal or questions on current programs may be made through the Recycling Manager of Physical Plant at 293-8138. Future programs will include wood and metals. Information on the program expansion may also be made through the Recycling Manager of Physical Plant at 293-8138.
PROCEDURE
Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Resource Management section of the Physical Plant. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION
The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
