UNIVERSITY DRAWINGS POLICY

PURPOSE

To facilitate the process of requesting drawings (small scales, floor plans, etc.) for University facilities for the purpose of conducting University business.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all University faculty, staff, and students who work in WVU facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.

POLICY

Physical Plant has the responsibility of storing and maintaining all drawings of University facilities. All requests for drawings of any nature--small scales, floor plans or blue prints--maintained by Physical Plant may be requested through the Physical Plant Help Desk at 293-4357. However, drawings are to be used for University needs and no other purpose. Prior approval should be channeled through the appropriate WVU Dean, Director, Chairperson or Building Supervisor. Some requests may involve costs because of size and complexity. Information on availability and costs may be directed to the Physical Plant Help Desk at 293-4357.

PROCEDURE

Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION

The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Planning, Design and Construction/Resource Management sections of Physical Plant, WVU Deans/Directors/Chairpersons and appropriate Building Supervisor(s). Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION

The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
