UNIVERSITY MOVE POLICY

PURPOSE

To ensure smooth coordination of Physical Plant support services in moves of assigned equipment or personnel from one specific area to another.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all University faculty, staff, and students who work in WVU facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.

POLICY

Support services provided by Physical Plant will be initiated via the work request system by calling 293-4357. Any movement of equipment or personnel must be coordinated through WVU Inventory Control and Physical Plant for space analysis and inventory management. Inventory Control will address any issues regarding documentation, tracking of equipment and surplus.

PROCEDURE

Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant and Procurement Services.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION

The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Resource Management section of the Physical Plant and Inventory Management. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION

The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
