UNIVERSITY REPAIR POLICY
PURPOSE
To ensure prompt repairs to existing WVU structures, building equipment/systems, sidewalks, or land that are maintained by the Physical Plant.
SCOPE
This policy applies to all University faculty, staff, and students who work in WVU facilities that are maintained by the Physical Plant.
POLICY
Requests for repairs to existing structures, building equipment/systems or grounds are initiated through the Physical Plant Help Desk at 293-4357. During off hours and Holidays, emergency service may be initiated by calling 293-3136. The Physical Plant Help Desk maintains a dispatch system that will dispatch personnel immediately to address emergency or quick service needs. The Help Desk also initiates all other repair service requests following establish internal procedures.
PROCEDURE
Procedure development rests with the Physical Plant.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
The responsibility for implementation of this policy rests with the Resource Management section of the Physical Plant. Physical Plant, at 293-4357 or P.O. Box 6570, is available to answer questions or provide additional information regarding this policy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION
The responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with the Director of the Physical Plant.
