Forest Stewardship Education and Outreach
Program Responsibilities:
The WV Forest Stewardship Program Education & Outreach Project Coordinator provides information to private forest landowners to promote sustainable forest management. She compiles a quarterly newsletter that goes out to landowners with forest stewardship plans, and to landowner assistance foresters, consulting foresters, and extension agents. She develops technical bulletins that provide information to forest landowners to help them better manage their forest land. She also coordinates workshops and forest land tours to help forest landowners learn about topics of interest to them such as forest taxation & estate planning, invasive species management, or wildlife habitat improvement.
