Program or Curriculum Responsibilities:

Teaching and service educational programs in support of the aquaculture industry in West Virginia. Develop a program of research which addresses the production and marketing issues facing the aquaculture industry in the state.

Background:

He holds both a master's degree and a doctor of philosophy degree in Fisheries from Auburn University. His research and outreach programs have focused on paddlefish culture, development of mine water resources for production of trout and use of farm raised fish in recreation. He has 15 years of experience construction and management of fish farms in Arkansas and Georgia.

Career Highlights:

Development of spawning methods for paddlefish and proposed the concept of reservoir ranching for paddlefish.
Design, construction and management of a fish farm in Georgia with 250 acres of production ponds.
Principal Investigator of the Aquaculture Food and Marketing Development Project.
