Guidelines
- Only active, certified Master Gardeners are eligible for this recognition.
- This recognition is given by the West Virginia University Extension Service.
- The West Virginia Master Gardener of the Year recognition can be received only once.
- Any previous County or Program Outstanding MG is eligible for this recognition.
- This application may be resubmitted each year.
- Written nomination should address each of the categories in the scorecard shown below.
- Nomination and supporting materials are limited to three pages (one side only) plus two
letters of support. Two additional pages of photos with captions or news
articles are encouraged as supporting materials.
- Two letters of support must be included with the application--
A. Extension Agent or State Horticulture Specialist --AND--
B. Master Gardener in the county or local program.
- Winner must agree to attend the next State MG Conference at his or her own
expense..
