John F. Baniecki
Extension Specialist-Plant Pathology/Entomology;
National Agricultural Pesticide Impact Assessment Program (NAPIAP) Representative
We recently received approval to carry out a NAPIAP special project during 1997 entitled "Pest and Pesticide Use Assessment for Dairy Cattle Production Systems in West Virginia." The purpose is to obtain accurate information on pesticide use and pest management practices for dairy cattle pests. Such information will enable input from West Virginia to NAPIAP in anticipation of expected federal regulatory action on livestock pesticides. Information from the project also will be useful to West Virginia scientists and producers in addressing livestock pest management questions in West Virginia.

We would like to carry out this project in cooperation with all who have an interest in dairy cattle pest management in West Virginia including WVU scientists and Extension Service agents and specialists as well as with the state dairy producers. Please contact John F. Baniecki, project director, 304/293-3911, E-mail: jbanieck@wvu.edu, for additional information.
