Since 1992, Alpha Xi Delta
has been working with the Choose Children
Philanthropy Service Program. So far, Alpha Xi chapters have given
over 300,000 service hours and donated over $700,000 to local agencies
in their communities. We are always trying to find new programs and
activities to get involved with around the WVU campus. Currently, we
are involved with Kaliedoscope, which is an after school program
working with Mountain View Elementary school. We like to go once a
week to make crafts and play games with the kids. We also take the
opportunity to give weekly service hours at Ruby Memorial Hospital
working with ill children. Every Easter we take a day to put together
Easter baskets for the kids of the Ronald McDonald house and also make
a donation to the Shack Neighborhood House, which is an after-school
program for underprivileged children.
