Pep
Band
The WVU Alumni Pep Band gathers to meet when requested by
the Athletic Department, Band Office, Alumni Association
or other affiliated organization. Typically, area Alumni Pep Bands plays several
times throughout the year, including appearances at events
like the WVU-Marshall Basketball Game in Charleston or the Annual Alumni Association Golf Tournament.
WVU Alumni Band - Mountaineer Country Pep Band
In 2009, the Mountaineer Country Pep Band was launched in the Morgantown by the WVU Alumni Band at the request of area members and to respond to a request by the WVU Alumni Association to provide musical support for several local events. Former members from the North Central West Virginia and Southwestern Pennsylvania areas, as well as guests from elsewhere, are eligible to participate.
If you're interested in participating with the Mountaineer Country Pep Band, contact Jerry Clark, WVU Alumni Band Vice President.
WVU Alumni Band - Advantage Valley Pep Band
The WVU Alumni Band formed a Pep Band in the Kanawha
Valley in the mid-1990s at the request of the University
and the Alumni Association to play for a pep rally at
a Charleston
venue before the first football game of each season. Alumni
Dan Kimble and Brad Dugan researched and organized the effort
by contacting WVU Alumni
Band members in the Kanawha Valley and surrounding areas. After
a few successful seasons of the alumni edition of the Pep
Band, there is now a roster of alumni members ready,
willing,
and
able to play for
most any event (in the Kanawha Valley and beyond).
If you're interested in participating with the Advantage Valley Pep Band, contact
Dan Kimble, Alumni Pep Band Liaison.
