 2007 Alumni Band Concert Tour

Greetings!
First off: I am hoping that this message will reach anyone and everyone who might possibly have any interest in joining us for our tour to Scandinavia this summer. So please feel free to forward it to any friends you can think of who might like to join us!
Second: Push has come to shove; it is time to fish or cut bait; Now or Never - and all those sorts of cliches are now in effect. This is because the airline reservations must be confirmed and the first payments made.
Third: we now have firm dates and costs for you to consider. The Tour will begin with a day of rehearsal in Morgantown on June 26th, and depart the next day, June 27th for Copenhagen. We will return on July 7th. The total cost of the Tour will be $2895.00 (double occupancy) for literally everything except your souvenirs. Download the official tour itinerary.
Fourth: Since Iceland Air requires a substantial deposit for the airline tickets; we must have the first payment for all participants in order to pay that bill. Firm commitment from our tour members in the form of a $300 per person “First Payment” should be submitted by Monday, November 27th. It is simple math that we have to have a minimum of 40 paying customers in order to financially make the trip. If it is impossible for you to send the $300 before the Thanksgiving deadline, but you definitely plan to go, please call Anita in the band office and talk to her. We will help one way or another. If sufficient numbers do not materialize for the tour to take place, your money will be refunded in full - as soon as we get the refund from Iceland Air.
Fifth: A full schedule of payment dates, amounts, cancellation information and penalties and such will be sent to you about December 1st. All checks should be payable to: Scandinavia Tour Fund. And mailed to Anita Lawson, PO box 6111, CAC, WVU, Morgantown, WV 26506
Last: This is a guaranteed price package. In the event that costs increase, or the exchange rate with the Euro goes up, we will guarantee that your cost will NOT go up. If the opposite occurs, and costs go down, we will refund the difference to you at the end of the trip. So you cannot lose!

To make the tour more affordable, a payment schedule will be established so you do not have to pay the whole amount in one payment unless you prefer to do so. However, if you do select the payment schedule, strict adherence to payment deadlines will be required because the group will be billed by the airlines, hotels, etc. and payments must be made weeks, and sometimes months, before the tour begins. Your cooperation and understanding is greatly appreciated.
