Career Guidance - SIGI 3
SIGI 3 (System of Interactive Guidance and Information) -- pronounced "siggy" -- covers all the major aspects of career decision making and planning through a carefully constructed system of nine separate but interrelated sections. As students, you have different goals, which you may find some sections of SIGI more useful than others. SIGI's unique layering concept allows users to explore the system in different degrees of detail, depending on the amount and type of information they need. In addition, SIGI can recommend specific pathways through the system based on the user's answer to a question about his or her career status. Begin with the introduction, in which you learn the few simple computer keys you will need. You will also see what the other sections contain. If you are familiar with the program, you can decide where you want to start. If you are using SIGI for the first time, you may want to go through the entire program or follow the pathway SIGI recommends, while students with more specific questions might start with the information section.
