INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE BIG EAST E-FAIR
1. Once the e-Fair has begun you can access the e-Fair by clicking on the e-fair logo that is located above the message box on your personal start page. This is the page that appears once you have logged in using your user name and password. This page is also referred to as the student main menu page.
2. Inside the e-Fair you will see the primary categories by which you may search the participating employers. Not always, but most commonly, "Industry" is used and will therefore be used as an example. In many e-Fairs you will also be able to refine your search with a sub category such as Job Type or Location. If you choose, you may also view a list of all participating employers.
3. By clicking on an industry you will see all of the employers that selected that industry to categorize them. Below the name of the company will be a general description of what the company does and a link to view their job opportunities. Try viewing other industries. There may be jobs in your field in various industry types.
4. Click on the link for viewing job descriptions and you will see all the job listings for that employer. You may submit your resume to as many job opportunities as you would like. To submit your resume just click the Submit Resume button and your resume page will appear.
5. Pick the resume that you want to submit.
6. Click on [Email Resume Now] to email just a resume or click on [Attach Cover Letter] to also send a cover letter. You can then upload a cover letter or create a cover letter online by using the Text Editor box. If you have already uploaded a general cover letter through the resume page then you can choose to submit it with your resume.
