What is Healthy "U" ?
Healthy "U" is a co-curricular educational program developed by WVU Dining Services to help students learn to make healthy choices. The four components of the program are:
- Wellness Centers |
| Located in each of our dining rooms that describe the program, display the USDA's "My Pyramid", contain brochures on a variety of nutritional topics and have the Healthy "U" Daily Diet available that day in our dining rooms. |
| - Daily Diet (available in all dining rooms) |
A sheet which lists a sample Healthy "U" diet for the day that makes up a 2,000 calorie intake which has been analyzed for nutrient value and contains less than 20% of your daily value for fat, saturated fat, sodium and cholesterol and contains at least 20% of your daily value for vitamins and minerals such as fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium and Iron. It also meets the FDA recommendations for:

| Floor meeting and focus groups conducted by our staff dietitian and nutrition interns on a variety of nutritional topics. |
| - One on One |
| One on One consultations with our staff dietitian to help interested individual students meet their nutritional goals. |
