Bicycling- C&O Canal Towpath
Description
184 miles of trail with views of and access to the historic C&O canal along the whole distance. 30 hiker/biker campsites and 5 drive-in campsites are available for camping along the way.
Directions from Morgantown
I-68 east to Cumberland exit 43c. The western terminous of the trail is in Cumberland. Other trailheads closer to Morgantown are along SR 51 in Maryland (all the way to Paw Paw), at Green Ridge State Forest (Little Orleans), at Hancock (MD) as well as others (see map on web site).
