Description
Wow. This trail system goes 150 miles from Pittsburgh to Cumberland. In 2006 it was finished all the way and linked to the C&O Canal towpath. These two trails together include 316 miles of trail all the way to Washington DC. Seven different organizations have a hand in creating and maintaining the Allegheny Passage- Montour Trail, Three Rivers Heritage Trail, Steel Valley Trail, Youghiogheny River Trail North, Youghiogeheny River Trail South, and Allegheny Highlands Trail of PA and MD.

39 access points. The closest access to Morgantown is in Ohiopyle State Park in PA . I 68 to Bruceton Mills. North on Rt. 26 for 1.6 miles to CR 8 (Clifton Mills Rd). Left (North) for 4.8 miles (enter PA and rd. name changes to rt. 381). Continue north for 3.7 miles to right hand turn (still 381 N). Go 4.8 miles to US 40. Cross and continue North on 381 for 6.5 miles to Ohiopyle. The trail is on the north side of town. Look at the web site for info. on other trailheads.
