Camping - Blackwater Falls State Park
Description
Located on the western side of the famous Blackwater Canyon, there is easy access to hiking trails and Blackwater Falls. This campground is a good basecamp for bicycling/mt. biking in the area. 65 tent and trailer sites, 30 with electric. Open April 29 through October 31. Heated showers. State Park Map (pdf)
Directions from Morgantown
I-68 E to Rt. 42 S at Friendsville, MD. Follow Rt. 42 S to Rt. 219 S. Stay on 219 S through Oakland, MD, to Rt. 32 S at Thomas, WV. Take Rt. 32 S to Davis. Turn right on CR 29 (Blackwater Falls Rd) and go 1.3 miles to the park.
