Canoeing - Deep Creek Lake State Park (MD)
Description
Marylands largest lake has boat access at the state park as well as other spots. Short canoe trips to inlets or backwaters are best as many boats and wind can be a hazard here.
Directions from Morgantown
I 68 East to Friendsville exit (MD). Take 42 south to 219 south. From the 219 junction go about 6 miles to Glendale Rd on the left. Go about 1 mile to State Park rd on the left and then 1.4 miles to the park.
