Canoeing - North Branch of the Potomac (Pinto, MD to Old Town)
Description
30.5 miles of class A-1. This section flows through Cumberland and has a couple dams to navigate/portage. The area before and after are more natural and secluded.
Directions from Morgantown
Take I 68 east to Cumberland (exit 43b). Go south on SR 51 for 14.5 miles to Old Town. Turn right and go 1 mile on Green Spring Rd. Turn left on Arnold Stickley Rd and go about 2 miles to the river take-out. Put-in options are at Pinto, MD,
