X-Country Skiing - Coopers Rock
Description
More advanced ski terrain on most of the trails. Some downhill sections require a lot of skill. Beginner skiing on the new roadside trail from the front gate to the overlook. You will need 6+ inches of snow to ski on trails due to rocks, sticks, roots, etc. No facilities (in winter) Coopers Trail Map (pdf).
Directions from Morgantown
East on 68 to Coopers Rock Exit. Turn right and go .3 miles to a trailhead parking area on the right. Road to the overlook area closed in the winter.
