X-Country Skiing - Whitegrass
Description
Whitegrass is the premier ski touring destination in the region. The area boasts 160" of snow annually, snow farming, groomed trails (25 km), and lots of different types of terrain from easy flat beginner to downhill to backcountry. There are a total of 50 km of trails. Fees- $12 adult, $3 kids. Amenities include a warming hut, food, rentals and a jolly good time.

I-68 E to Rt. 42 S at Friendsville, MD. Follow Rt. 42 S to Rt. 219 S. Stay on 219 S through Oakland, MD, to Rt. 32 S at Thomas, WV. Take Rt. 32 S through Davis, WV, to Canaan Valley. White Grass is at the southern end of Canaan off the main Route 32 on Freeland Road
