Hiking - Snake Hill WMA
Description
This area has many unmarked trails and old logging roads. Only one trail has officially been blazed and cleared. The others may be clear or may be heavily blocked with trees and brush, so be ready for some scrambling. There are a number of good overlooks with Cheat View and Table rock being the most accessable and well known. This area has been logged in the past year and the existing trails were not treated well. New logging roads were also created. Area Map.
Directions from Morgantown
Pierpont exit off Rt 68. Go 2.2 miles on Pierpont rd (toward Cheat Lake). Take a right onto Tyrone Rd and go 1.3 miles to Snake Hill Rd (on left). Go 3 miles to WMA parking area (on left).
