Rock Climbing - Summersville Lake

Description

Sport climbing with opportunities in the summer for free climbing right out of the lake (although this was recently made illegal by a new Army Corp of Engineers Regulation - contact your Rep. to complain). There are around 150 routes ranging from 5.6 to 5.13c, with the majority of climbs in the 5.10 and up range.

Directions from Morgantown

I 79 south to 19 south to Summersville. The main climbing area parking is just north of the Summersville Lake Bridge.
