Whitewater - Valley Falls (Tygart R.)

Description

Some of the last water left in the state when there are drought conditions. Class IV (V) waterfalls and rapids just downstream. Park and drop or run the 1 mile section at the falls state park. You can do the shuttle on the map with a vehicle or just walk back up the rivers edge. Map (pdf).

Directions from Morgantown

Take I-79 to Exit 137, then rt 310 south for 7 miles. Turn right at the Valley Falls State Park sign. Go two miles to the park entrance.
