Construction Safety Program

The West Virginia Construction Safety and Health Program aims to improve the safety and health conditions and practices in the West Virginia construction industry. The program provides needed education, training, consulting, research, accident investigation, and resource information.

OSHA 10-Hour

Provides training on:

1. How to read and understand the OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926)

Covers the following:

Material Handling, Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, and Excavations

OSHA 30-Hour

Provides an expanded version of the OSHA 10-Hour Course. Training is provided for 3 hours each in the following areas:

• Hazard Communication
• Respiratory Protection
• Scaffolding Safety
• Excavation and Trenching
• OSHA Enforcement in Construction
