Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Much of the nutrition information can be found in the "National Center for Health Statistics" section. Download reports on nutrition surveys and government reports. The CDC complements its own excellent content with a terrific selection of links to other professional and government agencies. A key subject is food safety.

Healthy People 2000
A comprehensive agenda with 319 objectives organized into 22 priority areas. The Healthy People Consortium is an alliance of 350 national membership organizations and 300 state health, mental health, substance abuse, and environmental agencies. To date, 47 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam have developed their own Healthy People plans. Provides a framework for measuring performance by outcomes. Progress reviews are periodically conducted on each of the 22 priority areas and on population groups, including women, adolescents, and racial/ethnic groups.

Healthy People 2010

Healthy People West Virginia
State objectives were set ranging from nutrition to tobacco use to occupational safety and health to clinical preventive services.
