Fire Department Member Fee: $60 per person.
Industrial Fee: $150 per person.
Fee includes a ball cap. *Special Note: FIRE-TAC members receive reduced registration fee: $50 for fire department member and $100 for industrial members. Still one fee for all the classes you want!
Registration Deadline: June 30, 2002. Postmarks after June 30require additional fee of $15 per person, making fire department fee $75 and industrial fee $165.
Preregistration Forms: Must be received by the deadline to assure enrollment in restricted size classes. PAYMENT MUST ACCOMPANY PREREGISTRATION FORM.
Payment: Make checks payable to FIRE-TAC, INC., and mail with enclosed form to State Fire School, WVU Fire Service Extension, P. O. Box 6610, Morgantown, WV 26506-6610.
Times: Registration will be held at the WVU State Fire Training Center beginning at 7 a.m. Monday morning. Weekday classes begin at 8 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Weekend classes begin at 9 a.m. Register once for all your classes.
Class Cancellations: No classes will be canceled until July 01. All attempts will be made to place individuals in their chosen classes or alternate choices, but the school reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment.
Refunds: Requests for refunds must be made in writing and received no later than July 05, 2002. A $10 service charge will be made for each individual refund. No penalty is assessed if a class is canceled and a student decides not to attend.
Protective Clothing: Protective clothing is required for all firefighting courses marked with an * and should consist of helmet, hood, coat, pants, gloves, and boots. Protective clothing for rescue classes should consist of either turnouts or hard hats, goggles or safety glasses, leather work gloves, and work boots. Students in Structural Firefighting should bring an SCBA with spare cylinder.
Additional Information: Call Fire Service Extension at (304) 293-2106. The State Fire School will be held on the Evansdale Campus of WVU. Parking will be available at the WVU Coliseum lot which is within walking distance of all locations. Shuttles run between the Coliseum lot and the other sites before classes, at lunch breaks, and at the end of each day.
