Skills for growing orchids and heirloom tomatoes are being stirred into the “Spring Tonic” dose planned for area gardeners from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 24, on the Evansdale Campus of West Virginia University.
The hands-on sessions—“Spring Tonic for Gardeners”— are organized by Monongalia County Master Gardeners, volunteers who have been trained and certified by WVU Extension Service faculty.
When participants pay their $50 fee, they will choose five classes from a list of 17 sessions. Topics include landscaping with native plants, taking the pain out of gardening and going organic.
