More than 80 male and female campers enrolled in the June 27-July 2 camp will demonstrate some of the life-saving skills they are learning to master.

WVU Extension State Fire Training Academy at WVU Jackson’s Mill State 4-H Camp, near Weston
Directions: The fire training academy is on a newly developed portion of the WVU Jackson’s Mill campus. The entrance to the academy is off of Old Mill Road. To reach the academy, take Jackson’s Mill Road past the Mill’s main entrance. Go to the stop sign at the corner of Jackson’s Mill and Old Mill roads. Turn left. Drive about 1-1/2 miles. BACKGROUND: The WVU Extension State Fire Training Academy recently benefited from two generous donations from XTO Energy Inc. and West Virginia American Water. The dedication ceremonies formally open the XTO Energy Inc. Conference Room and the West Virginia American Water Co. Lobby. The academy is the home of WVU Fire Service Extension and the site of the annual Junior Fire Fighter Camp.
