Nicholas County Points of Pride

- More than 400 youths and 100 adult volunteers participate in the 4-H program.
The 2002 residential camp attracted 150 youths and 48 volunteers. The 63 young
children in the Cloverbud Day Camp practiced life skills, leadership, citizenship,
and communication.
- Energy Express, a six-week, summertime reading enrichment program, served
40 children at Cherry River Elementary School, providing nutritious meals
and 15 take-home books per child. The program had 11 paid staff and 30 volunteers.
- At Richwood High School, 23 students learned about budgets, investments,
credit, and insurance through our financial planning program.
